AC-4005 AIR | open cable heads

Dynamic music places an impulsive load on the output stages of an audiophile hi-fi chain. That's why we developed the Referenz AC-4005 AIR mains cable. Specially developed clips are used to keep the individual wires at a defined distance apart. The resulting "air dielectric" reduces power losses to a minimum and significantly improves the electrical parameters.

The multicore structure leads to an overlap, so compensating for the magnetic fields around the individual cores. The line inductance is greatly minimized, depending on the number of cores, and the skin effect caused by steep current flanks at high frequencies is clearly and audibly reduced. In addition, the usable conductor cross-section is effectively extended, and without the negative effects of thicker cables.

A dense shielding braid of tinned copper protects neighboring cables and components against external interference and also prevents oxidation. Each of our Referenz AIR mains cables is tested and inspected with the utmost care. The results are documented, and each cable is given an individual serial number.

NEW: Now available with open cable heads

The Reference AIR power cords are now also available with open cable heads for self assembly with individual plugs of your choice. Please note the following safety instructions when processing the cables:

  • This power supply cable may only be assembled / processed by an electrical and qualified specialist!

  • After assembly, the power supply cable must be checked and marked after the country- and product regulations!

  • The connecting power is connector-specific and is a maximum of 230Vac / 16A! (Test voltage: 1.500V)

LS-8005 AIR

The powerful Referenz LS-8005 AIR has impressive 32 Cross Link Super Speed waveguides with an enormous total cross-section of 38 mm². The cross-section alone, however, does not make a good cable. The smart nesting of the conductors almost completely eliminates magnetic fields, paving the way for the finest sound facets and powerful pressure in equal measure.

Good sound needs air! In developing our Air technology, we have proven that an audio cable’s insulation plays a key role and has a significant influence on the sound. This is due to dielectric losses and the electrostatic properties of the insulating materials, which burden the hi-fi system like heavy luggage and make it sluggish. By “omitting” this strain we then help the entire hi-fi chain to achieve top performance. We do this with special clips that guide the signal conductors through the cable in a row and freely suspended.

Grounding option: The number of cell phones, WiFi routers, Bluetooth devices, PV systems and charging stations etc., is constantly increasing. This also increases the potential for electromagnetic interferences, which can affect hi-fi and high-end systems. Cables act like antennae and can transfer the interferences to the devices, where they overlay the audio signal in sensitive circuit areas, resulting in a “washed out” sound. Effective shielding and grounding concepts are crucial to protect the sound. The grounding cable of a record player is a very well-known example of this. The LS- 8005 AIR is equipped with a grounding option, which, depending on the configuration, can be connected to the amplifier’s earth, the protective conductor or earth or a grounding box, to divert disturbances.


Thanks to the Air Helix design, the conductors run freely suspended through the length of the cable.

The Air Helix architecture permits signal conductors to be insulated to practically 100% by air. Special clips were developed to provide the supporting framework. Positioned at defined intervals inside the cables, these clips keep the helically-arranged conductors apart. Cable flexibility is assured by means of two struts that ensure the clips remain together but also at a precise distance from each other. This architecture is unique, bringing low capacitance and minimum dielectric losses – a true milestone in the search for open and unadulterated sound.

Our Referenz AIR cables transport audio signals between source, amplifier and speaker in an authentic way and with a minimum of loss. LS-8005 AIR Pure Silver

High-end loudspeakers need power – and a lot of it, quickly and precisely. For the perfect sound the power must correspond one hundred percent with the analog image of the original sound source, be it an A cappella soloist or a stomping rock concert. A few technical tricks that help to skillfully circumvent physical influences are required to deliver this power to the loudspeaker right on time and holistically. Line resistance and line inductance play an important role with speaker cables.

Kawero Furioso Mini

The Kawero!® Furioso mini high performance stereo loudspeaker features sophisticated engineering, state-of-the-art materials and high tech manufacturing processes to minimize structural vibration, offering uncolored tonal coherence and a robust sound previously unattainable in a compact loudspeaker of this size. The speakers are manufactured from Tankwood, a high tech natural wood-based laminate engineered in Germany. 


Tankwood is incredibly dense: it sinks in water, offers the rigidity of steel, and also boasts some of the best vibration damping characteristics in the world.

Kawero Grande

The very impressive Kawero!® Grande is nearly 6 ft tall and is assembled of two separate cabinets – each speaker weighs approximately 509 lbs.


The rearfiring woofer is a 15” Audiotechnology with sandwich cone and 4” hybrid voice coil in a ported enclosure (Kawero Classic has 10” with 3” VC)


Midrange is a 8” Scan Speak Ellipticor with paper cone (Kawero Classic 6,5” AT with custom coated PP cone)


Due to the increase in size and cone area we had to add a low midrange/upper bass unit in the front which is an AudioTechnology 12” with sandwich cone and 3” voice coil in closed box. Why closed box? Because we want to have very fast bass for basedrums and kickbass.


We also love our custom made new RAAL 70-20XR. Since our partnership with Audionote Kondo Japan we have the permission to use their famous silver cable for the primary windings of the RAAL transformer. This had a big improvement on the sound.


The sound with Kondo wired transformer is more natural and smooth even with very high loads.

Kawero Chiara

The Chiara high performance stereo loudspeaker features sophisticated engineering, state-of-the-art materials and high tech manufacturing processes to minimize structural vibration, offering uncolored tonal coherence and a robust sound previously unattainable in a compact loudspeaker of this size.


It is the smallest loudspeaker in the Kaiser Kawero speaker range, all manufactured from Panzerholz, a high tech natural wood-based laminate engineered in Germany. Panzerholz is incredibly dense: it sinks in water, offers the rigidity of steel, and also boasts some of the best vibration damping characteristics in the world. In fact, as a side-effect of this performance, it turns out that this loudspeaker is bulletproof.


Hardships in working this extremely hard material are overcome by careful tooling and handling techniques.

Kawero Vivace

The Kawero!® Vivace has grown out of the develop-
ment programme for the larger Kawero!® Classic
loudspeaker that has drawn numerous 'best sound at
the show' comments in recent years.

Both speakers are designed to produce, from a
compact cabinet, a huge hall-filling sound with lifelike
instruments and voices 'present' in the room.

A key feature of these speakers is the way they work
with the room's natural ambient response, together with
the characteristics of human hearing, to achieve the
correct power, scale and tonal balance in the listening
room. Extensive acoustics modelling has ensured that
the direct and reflected sound-field combine correctly,
with all the tonal colours of the sound in perfect
harmony.

Soaring, enthralling, involving music is the result.
